Any chance of supporting OSX 10.4? I’ve got an older G5 Mac that can’t run 10.5 that I use as my main torrent machine. Vuze eats it’s own face when setting up subscriptions with 10.4 now and this looks like it only works with 10.5. Feeling a little lost here. Would HUGELY appreciate 10.4 support…
If any Tiger support comes I’m afraid it’ll be after TVShows 2 (final) is released. I’d have to replace several important frameworks and interface elements that are 10.5+ only, including some of Apple’s own example code. I’d also have to compile and offer two different files for download.
I’m not saying it isn’t possible, and the source code is always there if someone wants to play with it—including the old TVShows 0.4 source code that works with Tiger—but it’s going to take a lot of work for (at one count) less than 1-2% of the current users.
If you’re interested in more of what needs to be changed I’ll be glad to show you where to look. Just use the Contact Us button in the header or footer of the blog. But I don’t have the time or resources to personally offer support for it at the moment.
@Rob: how is your G5 Mac not 10.5 compatible? I am using a G4 Mini with 10.5 and 1gb of RAM and it’s working quite fine.
